Senior Executive Assistant to the Founder

No description available for this Company.
Hey! Alex here, founder of Elavate. I'm writing this one myself because you'll be working directly with me.
Salary: £80,000+ base
Location: Remote-first (we do have a London Office where some of our team work from)
Reports to: Me, directly
Hours: Full-time, but not a 9-to-5. Read "The hours" below before you apply
Who we are
We're the fastest-growing DTC brand in the UK. We sell a collagen supplement for women in their 40s, 50s and beyond.
We've grown to over £100M in annual revenue, completely bootstrapped. Now we're looking to keep taking over the UK collagen market and grow into the USA.
We have a warm, friendly culture. We're fast-growing and ambitious, and as we grow we need more smart people. You'll work with other smart people on meaningful, exciting work every day.
About the role
As Elavate keeps growing, there's loads coming up, so I'm looking for one sharp person to be my right hand. Someone I can hand anything to: my inbox, my Slack, the threads I haven't got to and the random projects that land on my desk.
Over time you become a version of me for everything outside creative, so I can spend my time on growth and the future direction of the company, our creative team and our rapid US expansion. Right now I spend around 6 hours a day clearing Slack and email before I get to the real work. Your job is to give me most of that back.
This isn't a diary-and-travel EA role. I barely travel and there isn't much personal admin. It's the business: hundreds of messages a week, lots of open loops, and someone good enough to handle most of it the way I would.
What you'll own
My inbox. Stay on top of it: four sweeps a day, replies in my voice that I don't need to check, drafts for the rest, and every thread closed out.
Very fast Slack replies. This one's really important. Clear the chats that don't need me, reply in thread, and only bring me what actually needs me.
A daily roundup waiting when I'm online at midday: what needs me today, what you're handling, and what you've closed.
Follow-ups and chasing. Be very organised and diligent here. If I've said it, it's written down, tracked and chased with the right people until it's closed, including by email as me.
Meetings and calls. Prep notes before, recorded, then a summary and actions the next day. You'll also sit in on our weekly creative review and on supplier and partner calls, and hold people to their timelines.
People and hiring admin. Hiring admin with our recruiters, onboarding and offboarding, and people admin for our international team.
Trackers. A contracts and renewals tracker, plus cost tracking for things like influencer spend and software subscriptions.
Admin that just happens. Invoices paid fast, plus the bookings that keep things moving (team hotel nights, padel, Airbnbs for shoots, team gifts) without checking in with me.
Side projects outside everyone's remit. The things I've spotted but don't have time for, that don't sit in anyone's normal job. You dig in, figure it out and close it.
SOPs in Notion as you go, so nothing lives only in my/your head.
What success looks like after 3 months
I don't open my inbox or the misc Slack threads. You've handled them in my tone and I didn't need to check.
Nothing I mention gets dropped.
Every meeting has prep before it and a summary after.
Bookings and admin happen without me thinking about them.
I've got most of those 6 hours a day back.
Who you are
Very sharp. You read between the lines, get context fast and figure things out on your own. If I mention something once, it's handled.
Technical and fluent in AI. You build your own custom workflows and automations (Claude Code, n8n or whatever does the job), and you pick up new tools really fast.
Proactive and independent. You don't wait to be told. You ask what you need, then follow up with the right people, chase and close things out yourself.
Calm, organised and diligent. You bring order to a busy founder and a fast-moving business, and follow-ups never slip.
A great writer. You can write as someone else and nobody can tell.
Discreet. You'll see sensitive commercial, financial and people matters every day.
Always learning. A positive, growth mindset. You want to get better every week.
Locked in. You want this, and it shows from the first conversation.
Experience
You've been the right hand to a founder, CEO or C-suite exec in a fast-moving business (EA, chief of staff, founder's associate or similar).
You're fluent in Google Workspace, Slack and Notion, and at home in Google Sheets.
You don't need e-commerce experience. You do need to be technical: someone who learns new skills and adopts them really fast.
Bonus points if you've built something of your own. Everyone here is a builder in their own way.
Where it goes next
The role grows into chief of staff. That's the next step: working with me on the most important projects in the business. You'll see every part of a fast-growing brand up close.
The hours (please read this bit)
This isn't a typical 9-to-5 role. It also isn't literally 24/7, but I need someone who's always available, whether that's early in the morning or throughout the day.
My day starts late (12pm) and runs into the early hours, and most of what I send goes out after 6pm. You clear what came in overnight so the roundup is ready when I'm online, and you're quick on Slack in the evenings.
If you clock out at the end of a 9-to-5 and don't check or reply to messages after that, this won't work for me. This part is non-negotiable.
What you get
£80,000+ starting base, depending on experience
A real path into a chief of staff role, if that's where you want to go
A 3-month review against clear goals, with your base stepping up when you hit them
30 days off a year
Vitality private health insurance
Travel allowance for trips to the London office
Free Elavate, obviously
How we hire
An intro call, an interview with me, a paid test task, then a final interview. There's a short reasoning test along the way. We move fast.
