This role requires someone who can read shop drawings, coordinate teams, manage budgets and schedules, and resolve problems before they affect delivery. Direct industry experience is essential. Candidates must be prepared to manage projects independently with limited onboarding.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain a regular presence on the production floor to verify progress, answer questions, and resolve issues.

  • Monitor project costs, identify overruns early, and implement corrective actions.

  • Document scope changes, obtain required approvals, and communicate their effect on pricing and schedules before additional work proceeds.

  • Keep clients and internal teams informed of progress, decisions, risks, and outstanding needs.

  • Coordinate shipping and installation requirements to support a complete, timely handoff.

  • Maintain accurate project records and complete project closeout.

Required Qualifications

  • At least three years of project or production management experience in custom fabrication, exhibits, scenic construction, themed environments, live entertainment, or experiential builds.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, shop drawings, and specifications.

  • Practical understanding of fabrication methods, materials, production sequencing, and installation requirements.

  • Experience managing budgets, schedules, vendors, change orders, and client expectations.

  • Strong organization, communication, problem-solving, and follow-through.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software.

  • Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and hold teams accountable for commitments.
