TextQL builds AI agents and software that enterprises use to drive critical decisions on their data — and pushes the unit cost of those decisions toward zero. By putting everything a company knows behind every question, our platform closes a quarter's books 140× faster, answers two thousand operational questions a week, and helps care networks decide better for millions of patients. Blackstone, Amazon, Ring, Scale AI, and Lumeris rely on us to make better decisions, faster. We're rapidly expanding our engineering team to build the agentic data lakehouse – finding trustworthy answers to hard questions from messy enterprise data without configuring schemas, moving data, or lengthy implementation roadmaps.
Fullstack/Generalist
Do you thrive when context-switching between a gnarly backend bug and a pixel-perfect UI fix? Does "not my area" make you cringe?
You'll work across the entire stack—frontend, backend, infrastructure, and everything in between. One day you're optimizing a React component, the next you're debugging a distributed system. We need engineers who can own problems end-to-end without waiting for specialists.
What Success Looks Like
Within 90 days, you'll have shipped meaningful contributions across the stack
Within 6 months, you'll own major features end-to-end
Within a year, you'll be a technical leader shaping the architecture of the agentic data lakehouse
About You
0+ years of experience as a fullstack, backend, or software engineer — new grad through senior, we hire on ability, not tenure
Experience at early-stage startups or building products from zero to one
Comfortable diving into any part of the system—infrastructure, services, or frontend
You care about building systems that are robust, scalable, and easy to use
Compensation & Logistics
Total Compensation: $350K-450K ($200K base + $50K-150K bonus + $100K equity)
Interview: We prefer on-site interviews when feasible and can make a decision within 72 hours of your on-site. If you're outside NYC, we'll cover all travel expenses.
Onsite: We are 5 days a week in-office in FiDI, NYC
Benefits: 401(k) matching up to 5%, top-tier health insurance, 21 days PTO, free lunch
Visa Sponsorship: Yes—we retain immigration counsel to support the process.
