About the Role
About Us
Corgi is building a modern insurance company, and our trucking division is one of its fastest-moving bets. We write commercial auto liability and motor truck cargo coverage for trucking fleets nationwide, with a full product suite for trucking companies and freight brokers rolling out behind it.
We sell through multiple channels: direct to fleets, through appointed retail agents and MGA partners, and through embedded partnerships with the fuel card, factoring, and telematics platforms truckers already use. What we don't have yet is marketing. That's where you come in.
The Role
You will be the first marketing hire for the trucking business. This is a true founding seat: you'll define the growth strategy, build the machine, and run it yourself, working directly with the division CEO and sales leadership. Your work will show up in pipeline and premium within weeks, not quarters.
This role is for a builder. There is no playbook to inherit, no agency to manage, and no committee to wait on. You'll test fast, kill what doesn't work, and scale what does. As the division grows, so does the opportunity to build and lead the marketing function.
What You'll Do
Build the direct-to-fleet demand engine: paid acquisition, SEO and content, lifecycle, and data-driven list building to feed our BDR team
Stand up channel marketing that recruits and activates retail agents and MGA partners
Run co-marketing with embedded partners across fuel card, factoring, and telematics platforms
Own the events calendar: major trucking industry shows, agent events, and our own field marketing
Sharpen brand, messaging, and web presence for two very different audiences (fleet owners and insurance producers) and keep both converting
Instrument the funnel end to end: attribution, CAC by channel, and pipeline reporting alongside sales leadership
Set the foundation (tooling, data, process) for the marketing team you'll eventually help build
Who You Are
2 to 3 years in growth, demand gen, or full-stack marketing, ideally B2B
You've done zero-to-one before: first or early marketer at a startup, or you built a channel from nothing
Hands-on across the stack: you can launch a campaign, write the copy, ship a landing page, set up a nurture flow, and read the dashboard without waiting on anyone
Comfortable marketing to non-tech buyers. You can talk to a fleet owner or an independent insurance agent and be credible
Commercially minded: you think in pipeline and written premium, not impressions
Thrive in ambiguity and move fast without being told to
Nice to Have
Experience in insurance, fintech, logistics, or another regulated or old-school industry
Familiarity with channel or partner marketing (selling through agents, brokers, or resellers)
Experience with public data sources for targeting (e.g., FMCSA/DOT data)
Compensation and Benefits
Medical, dental, and vision coverage
401(k)
In-office role in San Francisco or Boston alongside a fast-growing sales team
Why This Role
Founding marketing roles at companies that are already selling are rare. The division launched months ago, the sales team is multiplying, and the product is live. You get the upside of a ground-floor seat without the risk of a product that doesn't exist yet. If you want your fingerprints on everything and a straight line from your work to revenue, this is it.
